He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy E. Welch and Lillian J. Welch (Nelms); his pets, Emily, Beatrice, Junior, Ruphus and Sammy; his grandmother Nelms; his former life partner Kristine "Kris" Clemins (Chylek); and his uncle Vern.
He is survived by : his pet Olaf; his daughter Denise Abramson (John); his grandchildren, Madilyn and John "Bubba" Abramson; and his brother Michael Welch (Kris).
