He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Kangas and Pearl Kangas (Hedstrom); his wife Robin Whitelaw-Kangas; and his daughter Shanda Kangas. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Kangas, Brad Hill (Ginger), Ricky Hill and Tanya Juliano; his grandchildren, Adaya Guenther (Levi), Colby Pisanchin, Reid Hill, Hailey Norman and Angel Teeple; his siblings, Donald Kangas, Vera Kangas Kauffman (Chuck) and Lorraine Kangas (Mick Hiltunen); and his nieces and nephews, Daniel Kangas (Samantha), Shelley Ahlquist, Matthew Sell, Brian Kauffman, Jason Kauffman (Sara) and Jessica Kauffman-Westbrook (Greg).
