She was predeceased by: her father Richard Stipe; and her sister Mary Kay Parks. She is survived by: her mother Norma Stipe (Jacobson); her husband Louis "Bren" LaForais of Marquette; her children, Steve LaForais of Negaunee, Scott LaForais (Ellie) of Coral Springs, FL and Katie Botsford (Derek) of Green Bay, WI; her grandchildren, Sabrina, Maxwell, Lily, Evan LaForais, Sophia and Tanner Botsford; and her brothers, Richard Stipe (Tammy) and John Stipe.
