He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Benson and Fannie Benson (Orhanen); and his sister Marcia Hescott (late Roger). He is survived by: his wife Bertha "Bert" Benson; his children, Brenda Popps (Pete), Sherry Branham (Darryl), Darrin "DJ" Benson and Robert Lewis (Tracey); his grandchildren, Britnee, Joe, Brad, Chelsea, Amber, Cale and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Dane, Zahra, Caden and Jackson.
