He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. LaFountain and Joy LaFountain (Hooper); his brother James LaFountain; and his granddaughter Jill Kargle. He is survived by: his children, Lori LaFountain-Keeler (Michael Chuck) of Marquette, Al LaFountain of Plymouth, MA and Kim Dixon (Murray) of Indiana; his grandchildren, Jennifer Olson of Illinois, William, Aimee Kargle of Illinois, Rachel and Nicole LaFountain of Massachusetts; and his great grandchildren, Mary, Michael, Eliot, Mark Olson, Ryleigh and Blake Kargle.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion - Richard Jopling (700 W Bluff St, Marquette, MI 49855).
