He was predeceased by : his brother Arthur W. Sexton Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Leslie Nelson. He is survived by : his wife Margaret A Budd; his children, Lee Nelson of Battle Creek, Alison Nelson of Marshall and Teresa Nelson of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Jocelyn Wilder (Joshua), Derek Nelson (Erin) and Jeremy Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Cheznie, Gauge, Brylee, Braxton, Harrison, Allie, Carson and Carter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice Foundation or Trinity Episcopal Church.
