Though Edward may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Crane and Irene Crane (Dohrer); and his half-brother George Crane. He is survived by: his wife Polly; his children, Sara Crane-Fitzpatrick of Marshall and Ben Crane (Cynthia Carosella) of Ceresco, Michigan; his granddaughter Madeline "Knox" Fitzpatrick of Marshall; and his brother William "Bill" Crane of Belleville, Michigan.. He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Battle Creek (2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Disabled American Veterans (dav.org) or St Jude Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105).

“I’m sad to learn of Ed’s passing, we had lots of great fun together back in the 60’s. Ed was a good athlete, generous, friendly and my friend. John Converse, Ed and I wasted considerable time while together in our high school years. Ed was popular with everyone who knew him, especially Polly. Heart felt condolences for Polly, Bill and the Crane family. RIP Ken Bilbrey”
