It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet Giesen (Marshall, Michigan), who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hubert Barten and Edna Barten (Huss); her husband Frank Giesen; and her siblings, Genevieve and Roman.

She is survived by : her children, Frank, Heidi Beattie (Al), Gretchen Peters (Jim), Andy Giesen (Christine) of Marshall, Chris Giesen of St. Augustine, FL, Molly Giesen of Marshall, Sara Kurowski (Keith) of Niles, MI and David Giesen (Stacy) of Marshall; her sisters, Edna Weiers, Noreen Seurer of Minnesota and Darlene O'Brien of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Jessie Hackworth (Jeremy), Russ Beattie, Kelli Pash, Alexander Peters (Leah), Emily, Madalyn, Natalie, Simon Peters, Taylour Boer (Jason), Noah, Calvin, Nathan, Regan Fulmer, Thomas, Elly, Andrew Kurowski, Francis, Lucille, Beatrice and Roman Giesen; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Mode, Vincent, Matthew, Isaac Hackworth, Aspen Peters, Henry and Riley Boer.

A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 7:00 AM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (212 W Hanover St, Marshall, MI 49068).
