He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ledbetter; his parents, LeRoy Winnie and Georgia Winnie; his brother Donald Winnie; and his sister-in-law Joy.
He is survived by: his friend David Gann; his children, Valerie Whitney (Cliff), Sue Damron (Shannon) and Mike Winnie (Kathy); his grandchildren, Mindi Mauk (Josh), Korinne Winnie (Reid Cunningham), Elizabeth Birch (Jordan), Josh Damron, Ray Brown Jr. (Crystal), Jennifer Winnie, Amanda Whitney (Kevin Dove) and Brieanna Soule (Pierce); his brothers, Richard Winnie and Robert Winnie (Jean); and his sister-in-law Judy Winnie. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Kempf Funeral Home (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oaklawn Hospice or Shriners.
