She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle S. Wiersema and Hazel E. Wiersema (Scott); her husband Norman Earl Walters; her son Marc Walters; and her brother James Wiersema.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Ellis (Scott), Karen Sly (Duane) and John Walters (Laura Freeman); her grandchildren, Minchie Brockman, Maryann Sullivan, Nikki Dean, Danielle Walters, Tamara Cary, Justin Sly and Matthew Walters; her daughter-in-law Marilou Walters; her sister-in-law Marti Wiersema; and her sister Becky Horrigan. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
