He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hamm and Mabel Hamm (Reavis); his daughter Elaine Marie Taylor; and his siblings, Lawrence "Larry" Hamm, Laurie Ann Place and Gerald Hamm.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Elaine; his children, Ronald John Hamm, Jr. (Julie) of Marshall and Susan Marie Woods (Shawn) of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Kenny Stewart (Jenny), Chad Stewart (Lindsay), RJ Hamm III, Kyle Hamm (Katlin), Luke Pratt (Jen) and Joshua Pratt; his great grandchildren, Keighly Alley (Danny), Jimmy, Jacob Stewart (Taylor), Meredith Stewart, Griffin Stewart, Libby JoAnn Hamm, Samara Tollette, Ti'Anna Tollette, Gracie Pratt and Jaxon Pratt; his great great grandchildren, Stetson Stewart and Coy Stewart; and his son-in-law Charles Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Marshall (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
