We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2025, at the age of 78, Shirley Ann Coats (Marshall, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Blanchard and Thelma Blanchard (Bigelow); her husband Raymond Coats; her brother James Blanchard; her brother-in-law Roland Coats; and her nephew Matthew Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Ryan Coats (Rachael) and Kimberly Coats; her grandchildren, Makayla "Mickie" Vanklompenberg, Matthew Vanklompenberg (Olivia), Randy Coats, Mackenzie Vanklompenberg (Maxwell), Madison Vanklompenberg (Clayton), Reece Coats and Marshall Vanklompenberg (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Kaylee Vanklompenberg and Brysen Vanklompenberg; her sister Betty Miller (Raymond); and her sister-in-law Fern Coats.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services - Marshall (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakridge Cemetery (614 Homer Rd, Marshall, MI 49068). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the 4-H Council of Calhoun County.
