She was predeceased by : her parents, Clinton Hoelzer and Edna Hoelzer (Wackenhaut); her husband Gary B Underwood; and her brother John Hoelzer. She is survived by : her sons, Scott Underwood (Tracy) of Howell, Mark Underwood of Cheboygan and John Underwood of Marshall. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, at 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015.
