He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Silm and Lona Silm (Martens); and his sister Gladys Ruestman. He is survived by: his daughters, Chloe Buscemi (Rocky), Michelle Silm and Stephanie Brook (Dan); and his grandchildren, Charley, Sammy, Maggie Buscemi, Breslin, Bode Brook and Tatum Galbavi.
In lieu of flowers, Papa would like you to take your loved ones out for ice cream. Memorials, honoring Charlie's life and legacy, can be directed to the Michigan 4-H Foundation for the Silm Family Endowment Fund, a scholarship fund for 4-H'ers continuing their education at Michigan State University.
