We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 87, Phyllis Tuinstra (Martin, Michigan), born in Oostburg, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bastian Jager and Nellie De Jager; her sister Madge; and her in-laws, Harold, Flossie Tuinstra, Bob, Dorothy Helmholdt, Ted Wustman and Ed Liscomb.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Tuinstra (Larry); her children, Cheryl Havenaar (Paul), Charlene DeMoore (Jim), Vincent Tuinstra (Kim) and Mitchell Tuinstra (Michelle); her siblings, Stan De Jager (Wanda), John De Jager (Elaine) and Nancy Grevenstuk (Bob); her sister-in-law Arlene Wustman; her great grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott), Owen and Evelynn Vlietstra; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Brussee (Meg Kline), Kristen (Benjamin), Reese, Quinn, Ellie, Kylee Klooster, Ashley (Matthew), Tyler (Abby), Morgan Double, Erica (Josh), James, Hannah, Logan Gruber, Chelsea (Patrick), Courtney, Jackson, Jordan Keller, Casey (Lindsey), Mason, Kendell DeMoore, Nicolaas (Emma), Hallie Tuinstra, Evan Tuinstra, Jonathan Tuinstra, Zoie Tuinstra, Christopher Tuinstra, Chloe Tuinstra, Caden (Elly), Julia, Adam Tuinstra and Corin Tuinstra.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 1782 5th St, Martin, MI 49070. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the East Martin Cemetery.
