With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne M Schaefer of Marysville, Michigan, who passed away on December 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanne M Schaefer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Morrison and Virginia Morrison; and her cousin Betty Jean. She is survived by: her husband E. Frederick Schaefer; her children, Lucinda "Cindy" Irish (Larry), Robert Reed and David Reed; and her stepchildren, Gayle Chambers, Lori Bryce and Julie Rodgers (Walter). She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandchild; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (828 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron, MI 48060). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church and Blue Water Area Humane Society.
