She was predeceased by: her husband Bill; her parents, Leo and Marie; and her sister Jane Atkins. She is survived by: her family, David Schmitt (Barbara Riedel) and Susan Roth; and her close friend Bill Hiem.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lakeshore Garden Club in Lexington, MI.
