It is with sadness that the passing of Calvin Lloyd Knop of Mason, Michigan is shared. Calvin, born on November 30, 1934, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Knop (Bill) and Harriett Knop; his wife Jean Frances Knop; his son Paul H. Sherwood; his son-in-law Rocky; and his sisters, Arlene Richey and Lois Shook.
He is survived by: his children, Rick A. Knop (Julie), Russ A. "Dutch" Knop (Diane), Scott R. Knop, John M. Sherwood (Phyllis), Diane J. Gobel and Carol L. Pierce; his daughter-in-law Betty Miller (Micky); his grandchildren, Kristy Hainstock (Nathan), Katie Morgan (Thomas), Chloe Knop, Fisher Welch, Carson Welch, Josh Sanford (Kayla), Michelle Cozart (Brooks), Ashley Mize (Tom), Kamra Knop (Shawn), Kellie Thompson (Tim), Olivia Crum (Joseph), Jessica Budd (Alan), Tameeca Mahlich (Dustin), Mollie Hanley (Mike), Joseph Sherwood (Abby), Ellie Cater (Tyler), Jason Scott, Brett Scott, Justin Goble, Joni Goble, Torrey Pierce and Travis Pierce; and his sister Char Thelen (Ken). He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vickers Leslie Funeral Home (109 Church St, Leslie, MI 49251). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Hawley Cemetery (864 W Dexter Trail, Mason, MI 48854).
