Chester Lee Powaga Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chester Lee Powaga of Mason, Michigan, born in Jackson, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester J. Powaga and Margaret E. Powaga (Seppi); his siblings, Frank Powaga and Tracey Powaga; his brother-in-law Horace Coppernoll; and his nephew Chubs Coppernoll.
He is survived by: his daughter Christy Carl (Shane); his grandchildren, Autumn Baughman, Teagan Carl and Trent Carl; his siblings, Matt Powaga (Sheree), Laura Coppernoll, Valerie Jean Bristle (Jon), Shawn Powaga (Allison) and Nestor Powaga; his sister-in-law Dee Powaga; and his close friend Myron Bodell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Onondaga Sportsman Club (5124 Gale Rd, Onondaga, MI 49264).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Springport Youth Shooting Sports or the Onondaga Sportsman Club.
