Of Mattawan passed away Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, just one day after her 78th birthday. Sharon was born in Kalamazoo, the daughter of George Earl and Adrianna (Holmes) Thompson. On November 28, 1980, she married John Rabb who survives her. Sharon was a consummate homemaker. She loved gardening, ironing and cooking. In her spare time, she enjoyed being in the pool and sunbathing. If it got too hot, she would enjoy a cold beer. She had a great sense of humor and liked a good joke. Sharon was a great lover of animals, owning over 100 dogs during her lifetime. She had also cared for chickens, cats, racoons, a variety of birds and squirrels. She loved nature and enjoyed watching the deer from her kitchen window. Nothing was more important to her than her family, to whom she was totally devoted. She always made sure that others were taken care of. It was her priority in life. Besides her husband Sharon is survived by her children, Leslie (Craig) Owens, Kevin (Emilie) Rabb, Kimberlee (Nicholas) Gianakis, Korey (Rebecca) Rabb; grandchildren, Tommy Unold, Allie Unold, Cody Owens, Cory Owens, Carli Owens, Kole (Kayla) Rabb, Tristan Rabb, Kennedy Rabb, Dylan Rabb, Alexis Rabb, London Rabb, Braylin Rabb, Keegan Rabb; great grandchildren, Avery Rabb, Charlie Rabb and Galileo Rabb; sister, Delores Leitch; nieces and nephews and many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Rabb; great grandsons, Daniel Rabb and Lyric James Lee Rabb; sister, Ethel Mieras.
