He is survived by: his wife Karen Welke of Mayville; his children, Paul Welke of Ypsilanti, Joel Welke (Tara Welke) of Bay City and Suzanne Welke of Chicago; his brother John Welke (Sally Welke) of Mayville; his sister-in-law Susan Welke of Swan Valley; and his grandchildren, Thomas Hitchcock of Bay City and Hope Hitchcock of Bay City. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
