He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Smith and Dorothy Smith (Kruger); and his brothers, James Smith, Gerald Smith and Lawrence Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Lacey Roberson (Todd) and Carlos Reis; his grandchildren, Dezerick Carter, Malawi Roberson, Cullen Roberson, Marcella Reis and Cason Reis; his brothers, Ken Smith (Debi) and Mark Smith (Carolyn Ewig Baringer); and his sister-in-law Betty Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, an expansive extended family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kingston Music Program c/o Kingston Community Schools.
