She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter VanHouten and Mina VanHouten (VanFleet); her former life partner Edward VanDrie; her husband Alfred Pluger; her daughter Linda Rae VanDrie; her siblings, Henry VanDrie, Herman VanHouten, Bill VanHouten (Betty), Len VanHouten, Ruth TeBos, Anne Vennema and Dorothy VanHouten; and her mothers-in-law, Lois VanHouten and Reta VanHouten.

She is survived by : her child Leslie VanDrie (Carol) of McBain; her grandchildren, Lincoln VanDrie (Joy), Becky Koetje (Jeff), Heidi Roberts (Joey), Jodi Boven (Kevin), Bill Baas and Jack VanDrie (Nancy) of Marion; her great grandchildren, Emily Nederhood (James), Isaac VanDrie (Lisa), Jillynn Dumont (Derek) and Stacie Weber (Brian); her grandson Paul VanDrie (Coralee) of Marion; her great grandchildren, David Wissner (Jasey) and Ryan Wissner (Kristina); her stepchildren, Carolyn Koetje (Ike) of Hudsonville, Judy Rodenbaugh (Raymond) of Lake City, Barb Velthouse (Ron) of Grandville and Mike Pluger (Pam) of McBain; her siblings, Esther VanHouten of Grand Rapids and Edward VanHouten (Joyce) of Marion; and her siblings-in-law, Agnes VanHouten of Grand Rapids and Marvin TeBos of Falmouth. She is also survived by 13 step Grandchildren, 28 step Great Grandchildren and 7 step Great Great Grandchildren.

“Dear Ones, I am so sorry to hear that Aunt Grace has passed away. I used to love sitting at the family's table. Every meal was EXCELLENT but above all? She made the BEST BREAD ever!!! It makes me smile to think of her, being greeted by all those who have gone before her. She was a kind and priceless soul. My memories of her will be cherished.
