He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Gilbert (Whalen) and Norris Gilbert; and his sister Gina Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife L. Ann Gilbert of Mecosta; his nephew Tom Harper; his daughter Allison Marie Sanders (Kim) of Traverse City; his grandsons, Austin Miles Sanders (Leanne) of Waterford and Evan Gilbert Sanders of Traverse City; his brother Gordon Gilbert (Pam) of Big Rapids; and his sister-in-law Christine Daggett (Steve Swix). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends.
