He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Sterling and Laverna Sterling (Dexter); his wife Sue A. Sterling; his siblings, Neal Sterling, Glenn, Sterling and Jeanne Andringa; and his son-in-law Dan Hillman.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Sterling (Claudia), Sharon Hillman (late Dan Hillman), Terri Johnson (Larry) and Brenda McConnell (Jim); and his grandchildren, Gregory Main (Krystal), Jennel Sterling, Andrea Sterling-Squier (Tony), Kyle Sterling (Lacey), Rhonda Hillman (Paul Niles), Scott Hillman (Stacie) and Brandon Johnson. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
