She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Crotser and Laura Crotser (Yunker); her husband Lyle Eckert; her daughter Deborah Eckert; and her siblings, John, Gerald, Marvin, Norman Crotser, Betty Hassenger, Virginia Simpson and Beulah Mader.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Eckert (Joanne), Tom Eckert, Phil Eckert (Beth), Dan Eckert and Julia Armstrong (Terry); her grandchildren, Chellsie Lambright (Perry), Erica Smith (Elizabeth), Kyle Eckert, Christian Eckert and Winston Eckert; and her siblings, Dorothy James and David Crotser. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sturgis Church of the Nazarene (70031 S Lakeview St, Sturgis, MI 49091). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
It is suggested that donations in honor of Wava be directed to either the Sturgis Church of the Nazarene or the Pathfinder Educational Center (62445 Shimmel Road, Centreville, MI 49032).
