The memory of Eugene Hasenfus of Menominee, Michigan, who passed away on November 26, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Hasenfus and Beverly Hasenfus (Haines); his sister Sandra; and his brother-in-law Jackie Coppens. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Herman (Bryan Herman), Eugene Hasenfus Jr. (Abbie Gay), Adam Hasenfus (Joshua Smith) and Taylor Hasenfus (Melinda Hasenfus); his grandchildren, Emma Hasenfus, Michael Hasenfus, Mason Hasenfus, Michaela Kowalski, Christian Miller, Abigail Miller, Alanna Holm and Adleigh Hasenfus; and his brothers, Bill Hasenfus (Donna Marie Hasenfus) and Dennis Hasenfus (Carleen Hasenfus). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Michigan Veterans Homes D.J. Jacobetti in Marquette, MI or the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Waupaca, WI.
