With sadness, we share the passing of Marlene Monson (Menominee, Michigan). Marlene, born on June 29, 1931, passed away on June 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Moritz and Lydia Moritz (Tetzloff); her husband Ken; her parents-in-law, Pearl and Walter Monson; and her brother-in-law Charlie Nylund.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Donald Monson (Jean Francour), Laura Tlachac (Eric), Gregory Monson (Kate Olson), Luke, Connor, Benjamin Skarda, Natalie, Hailey and Lillian Tlachac; her children, Jill Binninger (Sam), Michelle Bartelt (Reid) and Daniel Metivier (Monica Stefenson); her great grandchildren, Alex, Emily Binninger, Lucy, Maisie Bartelt, Clara, Molly and James Metivier; her sister-in-law Nancy Nylund (Monson); her niece Kim Pericolosi (Pete); her nephew Kevin Nylund (Laura); Sara Skarda and Mimi Mouritsen. She is also survived by her two children, six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Menominee or the Menominee Historical Society.
