He was predeceased by : his parents, George Boye and Gladys Boye (Johnvin); his wife Shirley Cummings; and his sister Shirley Wentz. He is survived by : his children, Ricky Boye (Maria), MaryAnn Van Gaal (Tom), Daniel Boye (Mary Jo), David Boye (Corrie), Judy Lemke (Chris) and Janet Woods (Perry); his grandchildren, Nicole Bal (Scott), Amber Boye, Tia Walk (Justin), Tyler Boye (Cassie), Katie Miller (Jordan), Tommy Van Gaal (Amberly Summ), Alec Boye (Catherine), Adam Boye (Brinnan Wilson), Eric Boye (Kimberly), Brian Boye, Nolan, Landon Lemke, Aaron, Ryan Woods and Jennifer Hilbert (Tom); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Nolan, Julia, Braedan Bal, Dani Boye, Jackson Benedict, Lawson Miller, Harper Walk, Annabelle and Eloise Boye; his great great grandchildren, Jaxon and Gianna Bal; his brother Roger Boye (Diane); his sister-in-law Nancy Lukszys; and his sister Beverly Gibour.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Richard's name.
