He is survived by: his wife Janice Van Lanen of Joseph's Catholic Church; his children, Jeanine Kobes (Greg), Jeff Kobes (Kim) and Frank Kobes (Sherry); his grandchildren, Brandon, Patrick, Zach, Sawyer, Danyelle and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Mei, Kai and Kaelynn; his sisters, Ruth Van Rite and Pat Van Der Linden; and his sister-in-law Carol Giovingo. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
