He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Jager and Alice Jager (Goman); his brother Dennis; his siblings-in-law, Gerald Richardson, Curt Mankovecky, James Arnoldussen, Ted Schmitt and Becky Jager; and his nieces, Brenda Baumgarten and Valerie Rhodes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Schmitt, Sharon Mankovecky, Carol Wright (Gary), Therese Richardson, Dawn Markgraf (Rick), Diane Baumgarten (Tom), Mary Arnoldussen, Lynn Vande Hey (Mike), Dan Jager (Dawn) and Brian Jager (Carla). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
