We announce the death of Ronald Dale Smith Sr. (Merrill, Michigan), born in Mohall, North Dakota, who passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Smith and Doris Smith (Morrison); his brothers, Darrel Smith and Doug Smith; his son Brian Joseph Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Mark Welles and Jeff Christian.
He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Lorraine "Lori" Smith Raymond and Ronald Dale Smith Jr.; his brother Rick Smith (Donna); his grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Samantha Smith and Jack Raymond; his brother-in-law Theodore "Teddy" Chirstian (Andrea); his nephew Alex Christian; and his sister-in-law Cindy Clark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
