She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Melville and Elsa Melville (Porter); her husband Joseph Harris; her son-in-law Fred Boss; her sister Betsy; and her brother-in-law Jerry Shinneman.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Harris (Shirley) of Mesick, Val MacFarlane (Tom) of Bloomfield Hills, Julie Boss of Mesick and Jennifer Wagatha (Duke); her grandchildren, Grace DeVore (David), Mike MacFarlane, Will MacFarlane, Cody Wagatha (Myranda), Clayton Wagatha (Chrissy) and Carly Wagatha; her great grandchildren, Moe, Cal, Phoebe, Cade and Quinn; and her sister Carol Currie (Don). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home (620 N Mitchell St, Cadillac, MI 49601). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wexford Council on Aging.
