It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Dea Howell of Metamora, Michigan, who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Leona leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Muggerud and Alice Muggerud (Erickson). She is survived by: her husband Donald Howell; her sons, Don Howell (Teresa) and Timothy Howell; and her grandchildren, Tim Howell (Samantha), Nikole Kranich (Nathan), Gabriel Howell (Taylor) and Ethan Howell (Meagan). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Metamora.
