She was predeceased by : her parents, Roland Gauze and Zelphia Gauze (Preece); her children, Larry Howard and Kathie Maurer; and her siblings, Lucian Gauze, Orville Gauze, Freelin Gauze, Sherman Gauze, James Gauze, Ekil Gauze, Flora Moore, Florence Hale, Hazel Gauze and Minerva Jones.
She is survived by : her son Danny Howard (Ruth) of Michigan Center; her grandsons, Daniel Howard (Tessa), Anthony Howard (LeeAnn), Larry Howard, Christopher Swearengin (Valerie) and David Swearengin (Mary); and her siblings, Vadis Gauze and Ruby Pigg. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
