He is survived by: his wife Janet Upton; his children, Don Schaffer (Pam), Doug Schaffer (Deana) and Trudy Hogle; and his siblings, Mary Lou Schaffer, Max Schaffer (Barbara) and Stanley Schaffer (Carole). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
