He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Meister and Gertrude Meister; his wife Janet White; his children, Samuel Kubecka, Michael Berry Meister and Gina Marie Meister; and his siblings, Bob, Ken Roland Meister and Patricia Krause.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Sandy), Marty (Angela Kubecka) and Kay Kubecka; his grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, Justin, Ashley, Sam and Matthew; his niece Lisa Treasa; and his sister-in-law Taj Meister. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In 2008, he became a Alden society member by donating his IRA to WPI for scholarships that will help students for years to comeIn 2017, he was listed in Marquis, Who's Who, for his invaluable contributions to polymerization simulation and polymer rheology.
