It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Raymond Schmelzer of Midland, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward and Eleanor Schmelzer (Piggott); his son Levi David Schmelzer; and his grandchild Adorable. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Anzicek (Joshua), Kelly Wilhite (Gregory), Micah Schmelzer and Daniel Schmelzer; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Mikayla, Joshua, Sarah, Andrew, Timothy, Gina, Cloe, Isabelle and Lily; and his siblings, Joseph G. Schmelzer, Brenda Nolish, Carol LaFramboise and James Schmelzer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 6603 Barstow Dr, Midland, MI 48642. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contribution to the Dave Schmelzer Popcorn Fund at the Midland Barstow Airport in his honor.
