She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Palmateer and Leota Palmateer (Burkett); her son Virgil II; her grandsons, Eric Perry and Kevin LaVier; her great grandchild Ezra LaVier (Joyce Taister); and her pet Mandy.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly, Michelle Suppes (Gary), Rick LaVier Steven (Peggy) and Wendy Miles (Tim); her grandchildren, Shelly Douglas (Suppes), Scott Suppes, Katie LaVier, Keturah Shooltz (LaVier), Tracy Shupick (Sweetman), Virgil LaVier III, Sarah Fath (LaVier), Kendra LaVier, Jade Miles, Hillary Miles, Kimberly Miles, Alicia LaVier, Adam LaVier and Erin LaVier; and her siblings, Yvonne Dyer, Joan Maxwell and Joe Palmateer.
