He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Varner and Ada Varner; his wife Helen Fitak-Varner; his son Blaine Varner; and his son-in-law Larry Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Bixler (Bob), Ricky Varner, Renay Baker and Kristen Varner; his grandchildren, Robert Bixler (Theresa), Matthew Frezza (Caitlin), Alycia Frezza, Bethany Newell (Caleb), Kellen Bixler, Emma Frank, Rian Varner, Ada Place (Andrew), Zachary Varner and Anna Baker; and his siblings, Connie Moe, Sally Schneider, Janet Cassaday and Jerry Varner. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, with two great-granddaughters.
