He was predeceased by: his wife Colleen. He is survived by: his children, Alan Patten (Betty) of Waverly, Cathy Patten of Holland and Susan Harper (Blain) of Charlottesville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Paul, Michael and Rebekah; and his great grandchild Bennett.
