She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerrit Herweyer and Mabel Herweyer; her husbands, Donald Arthur Cay and Eugene L. Erler; her daughters, Deborah Cay and Kathleen Rose Wirbel; her children-in-law, Delton Ray Lemire and Sharon Cay; and her siblings, Ray Herweyer, Russell (Norma Herweyer), Rose (Donald Boese) and Ruth (Ken Thibo).
She is survived by: her children, James Donald Cay of Coleman, Ronald, Debra Cay of Hope, Linda Mae Lemire of Ludington, Scott, Dawn Erler of Beaverton, Cindy Erler (Sid) of Sault Ste and Marie; and her grandchildren, Chad, Stacy, Kris, Hollie, Matt, Adrianne, Sarah, Edwin, Ryan, Tyler, Karissa, Sonny and Austin. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Joyce's memory consider making a donation to Calvary Baptist Church or K & K / Harborwood Assisted Living Facility.
