Though Karen has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donald Eugene and Audrey Jean Bowman Curtis; her husband Karl Lyman Smart; her children, Audrey Tanner (Seth Evans), Morgan Karl Smart (Cindy Hurst), Philip Don Smart (Katie) and Emma Jayne Smart (Christian Dubose); and her sister Andrea.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in honor of Karen Smart to the Toni and Trish House (https://toniandtrishhouse.org), whose staff provided loving and dignified hospice care in Karen's end-of-life journey.
