He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Anna Olmsted Walmsley and William J. Walmsley; and his son-in-law David Friend. He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Walmsley (Sandy); his children, Lori Walmsley (Arthur Lemieux) of Tampa, Florida, Brad Walmsley (Lorna) of Midland and Janel Stewart (Paul) of Harrisville; his stepdaughter Shellie; his friends, Alma and Les Yarger of Lutz Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Nick Bovee (Arese), Courtney Bovee, Mckenzie Bovee, Jordan, Ben, Matt, Kristi, Brandi, Justin and Jennifer.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Toni & Trish House in Auburn or Midland Nazarene.
