She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore M. Scherzer and Nina G. Scherzer (Jasmine); her husband Vern; her son Paul; her siblings, Larry Scherzer (Louise), Nancy Webster (Rudy) and Emily Wagner (Richard); and her brothers-in-law, Gilbert Horwath and Bill Lauria.

She is survived by: her daughter Ruth; her son-in-law Tom Wallace; her grandson Jonathan Wallace; her son David Schlicker; her sister Naomi Lauria (Jo); and her sister-in-law Mary Hickmot. She is also survived by five other grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
