He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Stuit and Mary Stuit (Brown); his daughter Becki Wassmann; his granddaughter Mindy Wassmann; and his former wife Cheryl Travis.
He is survived by: his significant other Linda Fahselt; his daughters, Vicki Wassmann, Nicki Bartz-Stuit (Jeff) and Tamie Stuit (Aaron Warren); his grandchildren, Matt Wassmann, Mark Wassmann, James Wassmann (Danielle), Hannah Prout (Brenden), Sarah Apsey (Justin), Mitchell Ladd (Ashley Rizzardi), Tyler Warren, Lona Bartz and Ryan Bartz; and his siblings, Steve Stuit and Mary Dawson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
