Joyce Marie Kanitz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2025, at the age of 99, Joyce Marie Kanitz in Milan, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Libbey and Marie Libbey (Spierling); and her sisters, Claire Gruden (Jim) and Rita Sivers (John). She is survived by: her children, Randi Kominek (David), Scott Kanitz (Sue) and Chris Kanitz (Lana); and her grandchildren, Kurt Kominek, Alex Kominek (Tammy), Katie Temporiti (John), Dean Kanitz (Erin), Brent Kanitz (Abby) and Corey Kanitz (Michelle). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and many loving family and friends.
A reception was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dundee United Methodist Church (645 Franklin St, Dundee, MI 48131).
Memorial donations are suggested to Dundee United Methodist Church and Beacon Hospice.
