He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Townsley and Doris Townsley (Sherwood); his former wife Lois Goldsmith; his wife Dolores Bruck; his daughter-in-law Toni Garzaniti; and his brother Jerry Townsley.
He is survived by: his sons, Ted Rustin Townsley (Regina) of Milan and Ronald S. Townsley of Willis; his grandchildren, Cody Townsley (Vanessa), Dalton Townsley, Sherrie Duible (Mike) and Michelle Henderson (James); his great grandchildren, Malcom, Roman, Jessa, Nicole (Kylee), Mitchell Andrew (Devyn), Zachary, Lucas, Olivia, Carmen and Elizabeth; and his sister Phyllis Berlin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM. A masonic service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Ochalek Funeral and Cremation Service (218 E Main St, Milan, MI 48160). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ochalek Funeral & Cremation Services (218 E Main St, Milan, MI 48160). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the Marble Park Cemetery (520 W Main St, Milan, MI 48160).
