He is survived by: his children, Christine Nicklas (Andrew) and Daniel Cholish Jr. (Tracey); his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael Nicklas, Cassandra, Caitlyn and Danny Cholish; and his siblings, Gloria Kurlinski, Donald Cholish (Pat Schoultz), Robert Cholish (Diane) and Cheryl McMullin (Paul). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His legacy of generosity is exemplified by a scholarship established in his name through the Rochester Area Community Foundation, supporting students pursuing engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
