He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Avers and Dorothy Avers. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Avers; his brother Wayne Avers (Carole); his sibling's children, Debbie Avers and Tom Avers; and his great-niece Allie Avers. He is also survived by many loving extended family members, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Milford (404 E Liberty St, Milford Charter Twp, MI 48381). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
